Highly Praised by ‘Father of Asian Electric Vehicles’: Chun Yang Shares Battery Plant Progress at Industry Event

On April 8, 2025, The Hong Kong E-Vehicle Business General Association hosted a breakfast forum in Tsim Sha Tsui, gathering industry leaders to discuss advancements in green transportation. Chun Yang International (HK) Company Limited was invited to introduce its latest project – Hong Kong’s first EV Battery Processing Plant. Mr. WONG Calvin Pui Kei of the Electrical & Mechanical Services Department (EMSD) also shared updates on Electric Vehicle Maintenance Registration Scheme.
Jason Yip, the Deputy General Manager of Chun Yang International, stated that the Plant is the first and only recognized eco-friendly recycling facility for EV batteries in Hong Kong, which is expected to commence operations in Q1 2026. The Plant will integrate AI solutions and globally leading recycling technologies to ensure sustainable disposal of end-of-life power batteries.
Ir Prof. CHAN Ching-chuen, GBS, the Honorary Lifetime President of the Association, named “Father of Asian Electric Vehicles”, warmly applauded Chun Yang’s team and the project, urging members to adopt an international perspective and a comprehensive mindset to collectively advance the prosperity of green transportation.
