A Historic Milestone! Hong Kong’s First EV Battery Processing Plant is Emerging!
Mar 21
2025
Construction of the Chun Yang International EV Battery Processing Plant began in June 2024, and progress is steadily advancing. The main structure is taking shape, with operations expected to start in the first quarter of 2026. This pioneering green facility will be vital to Hong Kong’s sustainable development.
Three Core Values Driving the Environmental Revolution:
- Cutting-edge Technology for Efficient Transformation
Utilizing advanced smart sorting technology, we will convert retired batteries into high-purity black mass, seamlessly integrating with lithium, cobalt, and nickel refining processes to create a “black mass-driven metal recycling” industry. - Championing Circular Economy Practices
Our “urban mine” supply chain will process tens of thousands of tons of retired batteries annually, significantly reducing mining needs and creating a closed-loop system of “one ton retired, one ton regenerated.” - Setting the Standard for Environmental Excellence
We are committed to a “zero landfill, zero emission” philosophy, enhancing environmental benefits and supporting Hong Kong’s carbon neutrality goals.
Project Progress Update
Currently, 70% of the main building’s reinforced concrete structure is complete. Steel construction will begin in May 2025, along with international certification processes. Once finished, this facility will be Hong Kong’s first lithium battery recycling demonstration base, leading a green industrial upgrade in the region!
